Trainer Dermot Weld sent out his seventh winner in six days when his Voleuse De Coeurs under in-form stable jockey Pat Smullen, landed the Barrow Rated Race at Wexford today.

The daughter of Teofilo stayed on well under pressure in the straight to shake off the challenge of Zabana by a length and a quarter.

Weld supplied Pat Shanahan, who sent out his first training winner earlier in the day, with his Irish Derby winner Zagreb and will have been one of the first to send his congratulations to the ex-jockey but was not present at today's meeting.

Smullen did report “Voleuse De Coeurs's last run was very good and I thought if she handled the ease in the ground she'd win.”
