Hazapour is set to be Dermot Weld's only runner at this year's Royal Ascot.

The four-year-old has been declared for Tuesday's Queen Anne Stakes, in which he will be ridden by Frankie Dettori, and Weld expects he will be the only horse to make the trip from his Curragh yard.

Falcon Eight had been a possible for Thursday's Gold Cup but Weld has opted to bypass that run, with the team's other entries, Jassaar and Georgeville, unlikely to make the cut for their respective races in Weld's view.

He said: "Hazapour will be my only runner at Royal Ascot in the Queen Anne Stakes, and we hope he'll represent us very well.

"Falcon Eight doesn't run in the Gold Cup. It’s a very strong renewal and I think it's a year too soon for him.

"He’s only had four runs, and he never ran until this time last year.

"I'd be throwing him in the deep end, and he'll probably go for the Curragh Cup.

"Jassaar won’t get into the Hunt Cup, and Georgeville won’t get into the Hampton Court."
