Paddy Kennedy is facing a short spell on the sidelines following a fall at Wexford on Wednesday evening.

The rider was unshipped from Regal D’Argent who suffered a fatal fall in the Rosslare Mares Handicap Hurdle.

While Kennedy escaped any broken bones, the Turf Club’s senior medical officer Dr Adrian McGoldrick reports him to sidelined at present.

He said: “Paddy is fine but he had a concussion so he will be stood down for the mandatory period, which is six days.

“He was transferred to Wexford General Hospital as a precaution, but he’s suffered no other injuries.”
