Cappacurry Zak bounced back to form to land the concluding three-mile handicap chase at Limerick this afternoon.

The Leslie Young-trained gelding had pulled up on his last outing at Naas but better was obviously expected today as he returned a 7/2 shot having been as big as 10/1 this morning.

Ryan Treacy 's mount moved stylishly to lead entering the straight and kept on well when asked before the last to record a six-and-a-half length success.

"He likes it around here and he's probably better around here than anywhere,” said Young.

"He pulled up the last day but he's a funny horse and it was sunny and there was glare and sun on fences and was never travelling.

“If he hadn't run at Naas and was coming here from his previous run at Punchestown, I'd be fancying him as that was a very good race.

"If the ground dries up he'll go out on grass."
