The Willie Mullins-trained Bishopsfurze (4-9 favourite) overcame a mistake two-out to beat Action Master in the Powerstown Chase at Clonmel.
The pair had it between them three fences from the finish and although Action Master landed on terms after the last, Ruby Walsh's mount responded well for pressure and ultimately scored with a little more in hand than the three-quarter-length margin suggests.
