Aidan O'Brien saddled a one-two in the Tattersalls Irish 2,000 Guineas as Magician led home stablemate Gale Force Ten in the Classic encounter at the Curragh.< Trading Leather set a searing early pace, though Joseph O'Brien was anxious to ensure Magician (10-3) was not too far off that speed.

Once Trading Leather started to fade before the furlong pole, Magician strode on nicely, coming home three and a half lengths clear of the staying-on Gale Force Ten.< Coach House produced a pleasing performance to land the Listed Cold Move EBF Marble Hill Stakes.

O'Brien's 4-6 favourite was held up in midfield by O'Brien jnr, before moving out to take up the running a furlong out.< Club Wexford tried to keep on terms, but Coach House finished well to record a length and three-quarter success.< Hitchens (13-2) regained his crown in the Weatherbys Ireland Greenlands Stakes under Johnny Murtagh.

Given a nice lead into the race by Leitir Mor the David Barron-trained 2011 hero burst into the lead a furlong out and ran on well to deny Reply by a neck.

Sir Henry Cecil made it two British successes on the day when Chigun scored with a fair bit up her sleeve in the Abu Dhabi Stakes.

Though not necessarily the easiest conveyance for Tom Queally, the 11-8 favourite showed a tremendous engine in the Group Three, ranging upsides La Collina two furlongs out and quickening clear to win by two and three-quarter lengths.< Glassatura produced a 33-1 shock when finishing with a flourish under Shane Foley to deny odds-on favourite Bye Bye Birdie in the equisoftlive.com EBF Fillies Maiden.

Willie McCreery's good run of form continued when 7-1 chance Fiesolana found plenty for Shane Kelly to land the Irish Stallion Farms EBF 'Habitat' Handicap.

Joanna Morgan's Roca Tumu (8-1) took the Emirates Equestrian Federation Handicap, while the dublincoach.ie To The Curragh Races Handicap went the way of 14-1 chance Saratoga Baby
