Ronan O'Dwyer saddled his first winner as a trainer as Se Beag (14-1) was heavily eased by Alain Cawley to land the feature www.gowranpark.ie Handicap Hurdle.
The six-year-old travelled ominously well throughout and strode clear once asked to put his seal on the race, taking full advantage of handy mark in his first handicap.
There was a scare, however, with Mutadarek finishing with a rattle to get within half a length at the line as the winner coasted home. Abbey Lane was third.
O'Dwyer, well known in the pre-training and breaking ranks, said: "The plan was to win and things worked out well on the day. He will be kept on the go now and Fairyhouse and Punchestown are possibilities.
"I have three in training for the track and a few more pointers. I have had my licence for two years and train near Fairyhouse racecourse in Ratoath."
The Edward O'Grady-trained Ruler Of All (5-1) just got up to beat Organisedconfusion by a short head in the Ballyhale Novice Hurdle.
Owned by Thomas Barr, the promising Sadler's Wells gelding hit the front between the last two flights but Organisedconfusion battled on to push him all the way to the line.
O'Grady said: "I thought he was beaten from the stands. I don't know what to do with him or where to go with him now, I will have to discuss it with Mr Barr.
"They didn't go as fast as I thought they would and he may have ambitions of going further."
John 'Shark' Hanlon enjoyed another nice winner as Baizically ran out an emphatic victor in the Bagenalstown Beginners Chase, with a mistake by fellow joint-favourite Doc O'Donnell two out helping his cause.
Hanlon said: "He is a lovely chasing type and I think he will be a better horse on better ground.
"It probably wasn't the best race ever but he couldn't have done it any better. On his last run he was entitled to win and he will continue going over the summer."
