< Gift Of Dgab found plenty for pressure under Davy Russell to finally open his account in the Nobber Maiden Hurdle at Navan.

Second on his four previous racecourse assignments, the imposing Tony Martin inmate again looked like minor honours were on the cards as Popcorn and He's Our Man edged ahead after two out.

But the Gigginstown Stud-owned 6-4 favourite battled back and, with three in a line at the last, he then forged two lengths clear of Popcorn on the run-in.

Russell again carried the famous maroon and white colours to victory on Philip Fenton's highly promising Last Instalment

Sent off the 11-10 favourite for the Course Signage At Navan Maiden Hurdle, the former point-to-point and bumper scorer stamped his class all over the opposition with a two and a half-length victory.< Narima didn't have too much trouble making every yard of the running to take the opening Kilberry Maiden Hurlde.

Given a soft time in front, Michael Darcy's mount was well clear turning in and although a tired blunder at the last slowed him, the 6-4 favourite had Priors Gold three and a half-lengths at bay passing the line.

An open-looking Navan Maiden Hurdle was ultimately turned into a procession by Gordon Elliott's 5-1 chance Final Victory

Travelling smoothly throughout for Paul Carberry, he eased to the front at the penultimate flight and was not hard pressed to extend 11 lengths clear of Viaduct Joey who stuck on at the one pace.

Paul Townend got a fine tune out of Bold Present (14-1) in the 2011 Navan Membership Novice Handicap Hurdle.

The gruelling conditions proved ideal for Leonard Whitmore's charge, who pulled four lengths away from Brookville < Arctic Mick (9-2 favourite) stretched right away under Andrew Lynch to beat Stabilo in the Garlow Cross Handicap Hurdle, while 50-1 outsider Eyesontheprize won the Dunsany Mares INH Flat Race.
