Smart hurdler Flat Out made a most impressive start to his career over fences in the 59 Euro Punchestown Hospitality Beginners Chase.

The Willie Mullins-trained 11-10 favourite came home with 13 lengths in hand over Ad Idem leading Stan James to cut him to 20-1 from 25s for the Arkle Trophy at the Cheltenham Festival.

Mullins' representative, Harold Kirk, said: "He'll come back in trip now for the Arkle at Leopardstown.

"This horse could go over any trip and we think a fair bit of him."

Mullins went on to complete a double as Samain (8-13) took the concluding Punchestown Pavillion INH Flat Race.< Tillahow proved too strong for favourite Fearless Falcon in the Visit punchestown.com Juvenile Hurdle.

The 9-2 chance came to challenge the market leader after jumping the second-last and stayed on all the way to the line for Davy Russell for a neck success.

Winning trainer Mouse Morris said: "He was good today & ndash; he left his last run at Limerick behind him.

"He jumped much better here, I have no time for those hurdles (Easyfix) that they in use in Limerick.

The trainer's wife and winning owner Mary Enright said: "He was a bit disappointing last time at Clonmel but he just wasn't right.

"He has had wind problems in the past but he seemed to enjoy himself today."< Luddsdenene (10-11) justified odds-on favouritism in division one of the I.N.H. Stallion Owners EBF Maiden Hurdle, while Noel Meade's 3-10 chance Joe Smooth followed suit in division two, giving Russell a double.

Meade said: "He wasn't mad about the ground and he got a little bit tired.

"He'll have a little break now and go for a winners of one in three to four weeks' time.
