Anthem Alexander is a notable absentee at Naas this evening after 5mm of rain since lunchtime turned the ground at the Co. Kildare venue to yielding to soft (soft in places).

The Eddie Lynam-trained filly was due to make her seasonal reappearance in the five-furlong Woodlands Stakes, and her absence means that nine now go to post for this Listed sprint.

The daughter of Starspangledbanner beat Tiggy Wiggy by a neck in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot, and was subsequently placed behind the same rival in the Lowther at York and the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket.
