The Moyglare ''Jewels'' Blandford Stakes at the Curragh is among the options under consideration for high-class mare Ribbons.

James Fanshawe's five-year-old ran a fantastic race on her only previous visit to Ireland, finishing a close third in the Pretty Polly Stakes at the end of June.

She was last seen bidding for back-to-back victories in the Group One Prix Jean Romanet at Deauville, but could only finish in sixth place, with Fanshawe citing a lack of pace as the reason for the slightly below-par effort.

The Newmarket handler plans to work his charge this weekend to see if she is ready to head for the Blandford on September 13.

Fanshawe said: " She's actually come out of the race in France really well.

"Take nothing away from the winner, but while the ground was in our favour, it wasn't a very strongly-run race and maybe that didn't suit us.

"She's in all the big races, including the race in Ireland (Blandford), so we'll just see how she is after she works at the weekend."
