Wednesday's meeting at Listowel looks like going ahead after the County Kerry track passed a course inspection this afternoon.

Monday and Tuesday's meetings were both lost due to waterlogging but Wednesday's card, featuring the biggest race of the seven-day Harvest Festival, the Guinness Kerry National, is now set to beat the weather after the course was declared fit for racing by Irish Turf Club officials.

The going is described as heavy and the situation will continue to be monitored.

The first of eight races is due off at 2.10pm.
