The Brock Inn justified good support when claiming the mares maiden hurdle at Punchestown.

John Nicholson 's filly was settled behind the leaders in the two-mile event before being produced to challenge turning for home.

Danny Mullins sent her on before the last flight and she kept on well in the closing stages to beat long-time leader Snaidhm by three-and-a-quarter lengths.

The winner had traded as big as 13/2 this morning but was sent off a 7/2 shot on course after sustained support.

“They all told me that she wouldn’t go on the ground but I knew she would,” said Nicholson.

“She worked the other morning and I never saw her work so well.

“There is a decision to be made now about Leopardstown as I’ve two good mares, her and Ma Garrett, but that is where she’ll go.

“David said she travelled well all the way, and she was full of running at the end.”
