Ruby Walsh is keen to move on after he was unseated from Valseur Lido in the Irish Gold Cup at Leopardstown on Saturday.

The jockey had looked poised for another big-race success aboard Willie Mullins' inmate, but a bad mistake allowed Carlingford Lough the opportunity to take full control - despite Walsh's best efforts to stay in the saddle.

Walsh said: "He was unlucky - it was one of those things you have to put behind you.

"I'd only ever ridden him once before, over three (miles), one (furlong), at Punchestown and the King George (when he fell) was too quick for him.

"We always felt he was a stayer."
