Lumiere will bypass Tuesday's Lennox Stakes at Goodwood in favour of the Prix Rothschild at Deauville on Sunday week.

The three-year-old disappointed on her reappearance in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket, finishing last of the 16 runners in the fillies' Classic back in May.

However, she bounced back to form when dropped to Listed company in the Sir Henry Cecil Stakes at Newmarket earlier this month and will now step back up in class for the mile Group One on July 31.

Her trainer Mark Johnston said: "I am hoping that based on her last run she is back to her best form and a Group One race against fillies is the most suitable race for her."
