Clonmel Hunters Chase Transferred

At the request of the Irish Racehorse Trainers Association, The Rathronan Maiden Hunters Steeplechase, which was cancelled due to fog at Clonmel yesterday, has been transferred to the Fairyhouse meeting on Wednesday January 17 to form an eight-race card. The distance of this race will now be two miles and five furlongs.

The original entries stand and fresh declarations for this race along with the rest of the

Fairyhouse meeting must be made by 10am on Tuesday January 16.

The time of the first race will now be at 12.25pm.

Might Bite To Prove His Worth Next Season

There is not much attention given to national hunt racing in the summer months, by punters or by the media. It is, of course, understandable given that our attention is focused on the flat season: the action at Royal Ascot, the Classics and the rest of the elements that define the summer racing season. Some punters might have a dabble at an ante post bet for Cheltenham next year, but by and large we forget about it until the autumn.
