Pont Aval swept to the front turning for home to claim the concluding bumper at Ballinrobe for Willie and Patrick Mullins.

The daughter of Soldier Of Fortune had been placed on her three previous outings and was gaining a deserved success in the extended two-mile-one contest.

Having settled mid-division in the early stages the 4/1 shot made ground up leaving the back straight and galloped on strongly after leading entering the straight to record a five length victory.

Winning owner Nigel King said: "I flew over to Dublin this morning and I have to say this is my lucky course at this stage after Good Thyne Tara winning here in the past.

“It's a lovely place to come racing."
