Paul Carberry has had a ban received at Down Royal last Friday reduced on appeal today.

The jockey was given a five-day ban after the stewards adjudged that he hadn't ridden Johannisberger out to attain third place in the beginners chase.

The horse was just caught close home for third in the two-and-a-half mile contest.

Carberry appealed the severity of the sentence which has been reduced to three days.
