Europe set for Clonmel

Henry De Bromhead confirmed yesterday that Sizing Europe will run in the Grade 2 Clonmel Oil Chase at the Co Tipperary venue on Thursday.

The sixteen time winning son of Pistolet Bleu won on his seasonal reappearance at Gowran early last month and will bid to follow up in Thursday’s showpiece.

De Bromhead said after the success of Sizing Rio at Navan yesterday: “He is in good form and he will run over two and a half miles again at Clonmel on Thursday.

“We will consider stepping him up to three miles then for the King George at Kempton.”
