Jessies Dream will not be seen in action until the back-end of the National Hunt season.

Gordon Elliott's classy chaser missed the whole of last term with a tendon injury and the problem is to be given more time to heal.

Owned by David Johnson, he finished second to Bostons Angel in the 2011 RSA Chase but has not run since.

Having won the Drinmore as a novice, his class is not in doubt but he will turn 10 in January.

Elliott was preparing him for last season's Irish Hennessy but pulled the plug a few days before the race after a lacklustre piece of work.

"Jessies is back on the easy list," said Elliott.

"We'll aim towards getting him back for the end of the season hopefully.

"It's the same tendon he strained last year that's keeping him off. It never happens to the bad ones.

"He's scanned clear though, and looks great so hopefully we can get him back at the end of the season."
