Today’s meeting at Navan, featuring the Ladbrokes Troytown Handicap Chase, has got the go-ahead following an early morning precautionary inspection.

Officials found the track raceable yesterday afternoon but decided to have another look this morning due to the threat of further rain. The going remains heavy after another 7mm of rain since 3pm yerterday.

A competitive seven race card also includes the Grade 2 Irish Form Book “Monksfield” Novice Hurdle and the Listed ITBA Fillies Scheme EBF Mares Flat Race.

Further spice is added by the hurdle debut of the exciting Don Cossack while progressive hurdler Alderwood makes his debut over fences. The action gets underway at 12.25pm.
