Claiming jockey Mark Enright completed his second recent big-day double when steering the Stephen Nolan trained Carlowsantana to win the mallow.ie Handicap Hurdle at Cork today.

Enright, on the mark twice last weekend at Fairyhouse and earlier successful on Great Oak in a Grade 3 chase today, made all on Carlowsantana who stayed on well from the last for a three lengths win over See Double You

Afterwards Nolan stated “Carlowsantana was in great form two years agio when he won twice for me but has gone up the handicap in the meantime. However we worked very well him at Dundalk recently and he was absolutely flying coming here today. We'll see what the handicapper does with him now but he'll probably go to Down Royal for another handicap over Christmas.

“Ian McCarthy normally rides for us and does a lot of the schooling on him – he had to be at Punchestown today though. Mark (Enright) gave him a great ride and I've no doubt he'll go to the top.”
