Today's two meetings at Punchestown and Tramore will both go ahead as planned following inspections this morning.

Officials decided yesterday to call an inspection at both tracks this morning due to the recent inclement weather, and the prospect of further rain.

The going is heavy at both venues.

The first on a seven-race card at Punchestown, where all ladies and children under 14 are admitted for free, is at 12.35pm.

The featured 2m4f conditions hurdle boasts the return of Solwhit following a long absence, while Bog Warrior Simenon and Staying Article are also among a stellar seven-runner line-up.

Patrons of the Co. Kildare track are also reminded that today is the last chance to avail of their 3 for the price of 2 ticket offer for the National Hunt Festival in April.

There is also a seven-race jumping card at Tramore to wind up their centenary celebrations, with the first race at the south-eastern seaside venue getting underway at 12.45pm.

In the UK, racing also goes ahead at Uttoxeter today following an inspection this morning. Just 2mm of rain in the last 24 hours left the track fit for racing.
