Connell buys Golantilla

Owner Barry Connell has reportedly paid €375,000 for last Saturday's impresive Cork bumper winner Golantilla.

The Golan gelding made a big impression when running out an easy 13-length winner, adding to a point-to-point success last month.

This morning's Irish Examiner reports that Sean O'Brien has sold his mother Eileen's charge, who will now go into training with Tony Martin.

O'Brien had turned down €180,000 for the gelding at Brightwells Sales last month.
