Whatdreamsrmadeof ran out a convincing winner of the two-mile handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse.

The Beneficial mare had been running consistently without winning but made the breakthrough in a first time visor today.

Roger Loughran tracked the leaders on the 4/1 favourite. Tom's Last Euro took over from front-runner Zara before the turn but was tracked through by the market leader.

Tom Foley's charge hit the front after the second last and was in command before the final flight.

Whatdreamsrmadeof pulled away in good style to post a seven-length winning margin. The winner was making her 18th career start and had been placed on five previous occasions.

“At long last. She's been knocking on the door for a while,” said Foley.

“Maybe two-and-a-half miles was too far for her as she was getting caught close home.

"They went a good gallop and he was able to settle her in. If they hadn't gone a good pace we would have made it.

“I'd love to get some black-type with her. There's the Listed Solerina Hurdle back here on Sunday week but I'll have to look at the conditions of that first.

“We'll jump a fence with her and she'll probably go chasing soon. She's never seen a fence but I've no worries on that score as she'd jump anything.”
