Robbie Hennessy has said that Rubi Light will now go for the Grade 2 Red Mills Chase at Gowran on February 16th.
The 8yo son of Network was due to run in the Grade 1 Victor Chandler Chase at Ascot on Saturday but a stone bruise has ruled him out of that contest as well as his other engagement in the Kinloch Brae Chase at Thurles on Thursday.
Hennessy said this afternoon: "It's disappointing as we probably would have travelled to Ascot. We'd have enjoyed the trip over and there is good prize-money for second, but it wasn’t to be."
The French bred gelding will now instead aim to win the Red Mills Chase at Gowran for the third year in-a-row.
