Trainer Shark Hanlon has confirmed stable star Hidden Cyclone is likely to make his handicap debut in the ultra-competitive Leopardstown Handicap Chase on January 26.

The eight-year-old ran out an impressive winner on his first two starts of the season but came up short over three miles in the Lexus Chase at Leopardstown over Christmas.

Hanlon is keen to bring his charge back in trip, with the two-mile-five-furlong Leopardstown Handicap Chase his next target.

"The plan is for him to go to Leopardstown. He seems in good form and at the moment we're happy to let him take his chance under top weight," said the County Carlow handler.

"We'll get that race out of the way and see how he gets on before we make any definite plans, but if he ran well there is a nice race in Ascot (Betfair Ascot Chase) in the middle of February we might have a look at."
