Wednesday's meeting at Newcastle has been abandoned due to a waterlogged track.
Clerk of the course James Armstrong inspected conditions at 8am but admitted it had been a relatively straightforward decision to call off their fixture.
He said: "The snow has now disappeared, barring one or two very small areas, but the thaw combined with further rain yesterday has left us waterlogged.
"The ground is just too wet and there are patches of standing water and false ground.
"We also have gales forecast tonight and tomorrow which would have been another thing to contend with had we got past this stage."
