Denis Hogan today reported Inis Meain none-the-worse for his spill in the Boylesports Hurdle at Leopardstown last week.
The gelding was a leading contender for the valuable handicap after being bought by Barry Connell with the race in mind.
He was struggling and appeared well beaten, however, when crashing out at the second last under his trainer/rider.
The gelding was a big improver on the level last summer and Hogan is now planning a spring campaign for his charge.
“Physically he's okay. He was a small bit stiff but we had him checked over and he's okay,” said Hogan.
“It could have been worse but he's back in one piece and he needed the blow.”
The six-year-old holds an entry for next Saturday's Betfair Hurdle at Newbury but Hogan has ruled out a trip to England.
“He definitely won't go there. There is a chance if his work is okay that he could go to Leopardstown next Saturday but it's only a chance.
“He'll tell us really. He's probably not high enough to go to Cheltenham at the moment and we could look at the likes of Fairyhouse and Punchestown. We'll see – it all depends on his next run.”
