Jessica Harrington is expecting a bold show from Bostons Angel in the Glenfarclas P.P.Hogan Memorial Chase at Punchestown tomorrow.

The former Grade 1 RSA Chase winner makes his third start over the banks having been runner-up on both his cross country starts this winter.

He again faces Enda Bolger's Arabella Boy who got his measure over course and distance in November while Willie Mullins has a strong hand with Uncle Junior and Shakervilz.

A post on Harrington's website today said:- “Sadly due to the lack of opportunities this week owing to the bad weather, we have only one runner in the National Hunt scene this weekend. Bostons Angel will line up in the Glenfarclas PP Hogan Memorial Chase at Punchestown on Sunday, were he heads into the race with a favourable chance.

“It is hard to believe that he hasn’t won a race since his successful outing in the RSA Chase at Cheltenham almost two years ago, but he has been running very consistently of late. All we need now is a victory to boost his confidence.

“Tomorrow represents a good opportunity to get back to winning ways in the Glenfarclas PP Hogan Memorial Chase at Punchestown. A lot of established cross country horses are in the line up, but he has taken to this sphere well, finishing second to Arabella Boy at this track before running a cracker when runner-up to Outlaw Pete at Cheltenham.

“He retains all of his ability and is enthusiastic about his racing again. He is in good form after his day’s hunting last Saturday and I think he will run a big race.

“Hunting has benefited him in the past so I am hopeful it has the desired affect again. At least he should be able to handle the ground tomorrow.”
