The stewards received a report from Mr Chris Gordon, Turf Club Senior Security Officer, in relation to the training of Like A Diamond by Ms Sharon Dunphy, a declared runner in this race.
Mr Gordon reported that the animal was not trained at the registered licensed premises of Ms Sharon Dunphy at Drish, Thurles, Co. Tipperary but at another premises in the neighbourhood.
Evidence was heard from Ms Dunphy which included her acceptance of the report furnished by Mr Gordon.
Evidence was also heard from Mr Fabian Burke, Groom in charge, who had entered the Stable yard on a temporary pass to work for Ms Dunphy at this meeting.
Having considered the report and the subsequent evidence and in particular the admission by Ms Dunphy that her runner "Like A Diamond" was not trained from her licensed training establishment as required by rule 147 (vi), the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of "Like A Diamond" from the race and referred the matter to the Turf Club.
