Niall McCullagh made his intentions known from an early stage in the Dundalk Stadium On Facebook Maiden and he had a willing partner in Rocky Bleier in the concluding extended ten furlong contest.

Apparently named after a famous American football player of the past, the Rock Of Gibraltar gelding pulled out plenty when required after making the running.

Reversing form with Ebadani from 19 days ago, Rocky Bleier came home a length and three parts in front of that favourite with four and a quarter lengths back to second market choice Madam Mo in third.

Bill Farrell trains Rocky Bleier for Timothy J Rooney and the Curragh handler remarked: "He's well related and I bought him as a foal. He will come on from that as we've taken our time with him as he was a late foal.

"He's improving all the time. He knew his job today and we'll see what the handicapper makes of it all." (GC & EM)
