James Doyle is unlikely to appeal against the seven-day ban and £10,000 fine he received following his fairytale victory on Noble Mission in the Qipco Champion Stakes at Ascot on Saturday.
The neck triumph by Frankel's full brother over Al Kazeem, on whom Doyle enjoyed great success last year, after a pulsating duel in the final two furlongs, brought the house down.
However, there was a sting in the tail for Doyle after he was punished by the stewards for his use of the whip in the heat of battle and he just hopes the race will be remembered for the right reasons.
"I haven't spoken to anyone about it yet and hadn't really thought about it," said the retained jockey to Noble Mission's owner Khalid Abdullah.
"I would say the chances (of an appeal) would be pretty slim. The rules are there and you have to take the consequences at the end of the day. There are no qualms there.
"Hopefully the suspension and the fine won't overshadow what happened. I don't want such a great race marred by people saying he got a ban and a fine. That would be upsetting.
"Hopefully people will just remember the battle the two horses had. The race produced a fairytale ending."
Doyle's suspension runs on November 1st and 3rd to 8th, meaning he is set to miss the two-day Breeders' Cup meeting, as well as the Melbourne Cup.
