Foot Soldier leads the way
Foot Soldier is tough and very genuine . it's very tough going out there today.
Coogan makes Winning Impact
I gave him a really good chance today. He ran well at The Curragh the last day in an apprentice race but didn't get the run of the race. The girl who rode him put her hands up afterwards and I thought he'd win today - I was very sweet on him. Where he goes I don't know but we'll play it by ear . he loves that soft ground.

Enright on the winning trail
Dubs v's Culchies score Grade 3 win
St Devote has been a good servant for the lads and I think there is a good handicap chase in him at some stage. He won a nice handicap hurdle at Listowel last year and he is very efficient over his fences. A flat track and two and a half miles suit him and we might look at Aintree for him next year. He has had a long old summer, has been on the go a while and we will give him a break now. He has been carrying a bit of a back injury which we will now get treated although I'm not sure when he will come back . either Christmas or next spring time. It's nice to sign off with a win.
Onzo on the up
Onzo Mor took a bad fall at Tramore the last day and gave us a fright - it is brilliant that he bounced back with a win today. We schooled him over hurdles since then to give him confidence and Eddie (O'Connell) came in during the week and schooled him over fences. We were happy to take the fences on again today and this looked a good opportunity. Hopefully the handicapper isn't too hard on him now and we can find another race for him.
House rules at Roscommon
that was good, he jumped great and Andrew was delighted with him. We were a little worried about making the running today as he made the running on his first run this summer, when Ruby rode him at Punchestown, and he didn't jump great then but he was probably green. He's in at Gowran on Saturday in a two miles handicap but I've a few horses going to Cheltenham in October and there's a two miles novice chase there and that could be the more realistic target. He disappointed at Killarney in a beginners chase when he winged fences until the third last fence when he got tired and stopped. A few of mine were running badly then and I still dint know why.
Joe makes winning hurdle debut
Just For Joe was in at Navan at the weekend but the ground went too quick for him and we pulled him out. He got a bit tired late on but we think he's very nice and you couldn't ask for any more first time over hurdles. He will improve for the run and jumped well apart from being a bit high at a few of them. He'll probably go for a winners' of one now and looks a graded horse at home . Shay (Barry) said that today too. Hopefully he will run in some of the nicer races over the winter.
