An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference approaching the final furlong, involving Bielsa (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Shane Gray and Dubai Station (GB), unplaced, ridden by Marco Ghiani.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Bielsa (IRE)’s placing as the ground and momentum lost by Dubai Station (GB), was less than the official distance at the line, between Dubai Station (GB) and Bielsa (IRE) of a neck.
The interference was found to be accidental as Bielsa (IRE) had hung right-handed despite Gray’s best efforts to correct the gelding.
Following the race, Shane Gray reported that Bielsa (IRE), placed fifth, hung right-handed throughout.
