Courtly takes Limerick opener
He was entitled to do that after his run behind Ned Buntline. We always thought he was decent and he finish third in a good bumper at Down Royal three years ago to the day. He had a very small tendon problem but then he aggravated it so we had to give him more time. I have no real plans for him. His jockey said he liked the ground.
Prince is too good for Venture
He was very impressive and he was always going very easy. He travelled and jumped great. He got free for the first time turning in. I would imagine Aintree is the plan for him now and hopefully he will get there in one piece.
That's not a surprise. It takes him a few races to get fit and he loves the heavy ground. He won a schooling race at Fairyhouse recently. Rob gave him a good positive ride. He will be kept over hurdles now but will go over fences then in a few months' time. I have 12 to 14 horses in training at the moment.
Walsh scores first win at Limerick
my horses have been very sick and this horse was my last winner last New Year's Eve. It has taken the horses a long time to get over it. Sacre Malta is entered at Punchestown and Tramore over the next few days and may run again.
Absolute stars with sixth Limerick win
that's his eight win and his sixth around here so it's definitely a case of horses for courses!. I told Brian (O'Connell) 'don't you ever give up and if you're in within shouting distance at the top the hill to keep him going at all costs!' Today was the plan and you can't beat a bit of luck!
Goonyella wins incident packed Hunter Chase
He is a hardy horse and he got a good ride from Jamie. He is a good rider and that is his second winner on the track. He was working well at home with Harpsy Cord. It is different for us to go the Hunter Chase route. Maybe next year he might be aimed at the Troytown or the Thyestes. He will go for some of the better hunter chases now.
First track win for McSweeney on Girl In Blue
She will go for a hurdle next.
