We should give half the prize money to Ruby. I thought he would have pulled him up halfway but he was obviously giving Ruby a better feel than it looked. Ruby [Walsh] said they went too fast and that our fella needs further. His form was encouraging up to Thurles where he disappointed but we felt we had him right for today and if he comes out of the race well we'll head for Punchestown.

He made his customary one or two mistakes but he jumped the last fence well when he had too. He'll go to Punchestown once he can get his toe in the ground.

He was disappointing on Sunday and we only declared him two minutes before the time for this race. He won two novice races and we always thought he was decent horse. He will possibly go to Punchestown and if not we'll put him away until Galway.
Rothwell/Flanagan inform at Fairyhouse
This horse was bought for 600e at Goresbridge Sales last year. This horse wants good ground and to be held up off a fast pace and he got that here today. Last year he got a kick in his face during a race at Ballinrobe and had to have his whole face re-constructed.
