She made hard work of it but I think she just had a very hard race the last day and she possibly remembered it a bit. She’s still learning and I think she’s still improving.

She’s a well-bred mare and it’s great to get a few wins out of her. The young fella is riding out of his skin and he was very confident. You couldn’t ask for better. I thought she was a good mare a while back and it’s only now that she is beginning to show her worth. She could go for the mares' handicap at Leopardstown at the Dublin Racing Festival.

Paul gave him a great ride and he said that he settled well and picked up real well for him. I was hoping we would have softer ground but he’s probably versatile enough ground wise. Three miles on that better ground probably suited him, and if it was heavy he could go over two and a half miles. It was nice that he backed up the win at Cork. We’ve had a good Christmas and the horses are running well so hopefully it will continue for another while.

Kilkishen relishes a staying test in Fairyhouse

All he does is stay. We had a plan done before today and we’re not changing from it — we are going to go for the Eider Chase at Newcastle (on February 23). He wants a trip. His jumping let him down up to now and today he was very good. Win or lose, as long as his jumping was good today I’d be happy.
