Like Your Style wins Fairyhouse opener
he was due one and it's nice to get the win - it means a lot to me as he was the first horse I got from J.P. after Captain Cee Bee and I was always fond of him. In the end he did it well but where we go now I don't know - we'll enjoy the moment for now. On his maiden hurdle runs he was entitled to win this event those were back in 2009! My initial thoughts were right . less rather than further (in trip) is what he wants. The ground seems alright, they went a good clip and he finished well.
Cheltenham the choice for Galileo
it was a pleasing performance. Robbie said he wouldn't be in love with the ground and apart from a slight mistake three out, I was pleased with the performance. It didn't tell us anything we didn't already know about him but it was more experience for him and provided everything goes well, he'll take his chance in the Supreme Novice Hurdle. He'll be a better horse on nice ground, is a dual purpose horse rated 110 on the Flat and can win more Group races. If everything goes well in his next race, he'll go back on the Flat then - staying Group races will be his main profession this year.
Gannon overcomes adversity to record third winner
that's brilliant, I'm delighted! My first winner was five years ago today but I had a bad accident, in a fall from a horse, about two years ago and it's amazing I'm still here - I nearly died and was in intensive care for four and a half weeks. They originally thought I would be paralysed but I got great support from my mother and husband and today's win is my third. All my wins have been with mares - I seem to get on well with the mares! . I was hoping to get my jockey's license back and am still determined to get it back. I have just two horses in training but have a public gallop which trainers like Enda Bolger, Edward O'Grady and Philip Fenton use.
Mullins adds to Vast tally
Vast Consumption is showing good improvement and she will try another race like that as she loves that ground. She jumps hurdles very well, she was very quick. She'll have to step up into a higher class of handicap now but she is showing improvement.
Clashnabrook continues winning run
Clashnabrook will go for the novice handicap hurdle back here at Easter next and will have a bit of a break between now and then. He needs soft ground and as long as it stays soft, he'll keep going.
Nina returns, to Kates Benefit
Kates Benefit did it well again and we'll probably put her away now. I was going to go hurdling but most of the good mares' hurdles are gone now and if she did win one, she would have to go handicapping next year and wouldn't have the experience for that. Next year, we'll try to win a maiden hurdle and look at a few of the novices with her. Groundwise she goes on anything except fast - it was tacky today and the rest of them didn't handle it as well as her. She is something to look forward to next season.
