The Stewards interviewed Mr E.P. O'Brien, rider of Miracle At Medinah (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found Mr E.P. O'Brien in breach of Regulation 10 3(g) by using his whip with his arm above shoulder height and having taken his record into account the Stewards cautioned the rider regarding his future whip use. The Stewards interviewed Mr T. O'Connor, rider of Harry The Lemmon, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found Mr T. O'Connor in breach of Reg 10 3(f),(g) and Reg 10 4. and having taken his record into account suspended him for two race days.
