I was a small bit concerned that the ground might be a small bit too tacky but we decided to hold him up for one run as that's how he won his point to points. He has plenty of scope for fences although we might wait until next season to go chasing.

I'm sorry for Willie (Mullins, trainer of Apt Approach) and it's not a nice way to win. Dressedtothenines is a nice mare and seems to be back to herself. I spotted this race a while ago and if we can find something similar it would be great - she ran well at Clonmel the last day where she came up against a very good mare (Annie Power).

he has been doing that sort of work at home and is one I've been looking forward to getting out. He jumped well for a horse first time over hurdles, carrying a penalty but he's very hard on himself and we'll see how he comes out of this before deciding where to go. He is certainly a nice addition to the team and they went some 'clip' - the time was huge for the ground (4m09.9sec).

I didn't think she'd go on that ground and thought she'd want it a lot better. she did run quite well at Thurles the second day though and I thought the extra half mile would suit her today. Her dam won a couple of bumpers.

I was surprised he travelled so well on that ground . he's had a few chances and had his day today but hopefully we might sneak another one! He stays well and is bred to do so as the dam (Make My Day) was a good stayer.
