Punchestown Wed, 1st May, 2024  Lets Go Champ It’s brilliant for Roger (Brookhouse, owner). He’s a great supporter of ours and a great supporter of Punchestown. He lost a very good friend, Tom, only recently who came every year with him and he wants to dedicate that to him. He ran very well here last year and was a little bit unlucky. He probably struggled a bit on the ground in Limerick (last time) but he was very good today. He could be a Galway Plate horse but we’ll see what the handicapper does and what everybody wants to do. We’ll enjoy today, today is a big day.

Cork Sun, 31st Mar, 2024  Sir Gerhard Asterion Forlonge always likes to jump right, that's just his way of doing it but overall he jumped well. His jumping isn't going to change now with his age but it was a good performance. We went a nice gallop, didn't hang around and it is nice to get another win with him. I gave him a pop yesterday and he has always been a very good jumper at home and just has his own way of doing it. He is a high class horse and was bang there in those top Grade 1 chases so the ability is there. He has been around a long time, he has been a right horse and they (himself and Sir Gerhard) are two top horses so it is great to get the opportunity to ride them.

Thurles Thu, 22nd Feb, 2024  Dancing Jeremy He is qualified for the Full Circle Series Qualifier at the Punchestown festival and I don't really want to go back over hurdles before then. We were taking a chance running him over two miles, but there was plenty pace in the race, he jumped well and saw it out. We'll pick another race for him and his main aim is the race at Punchestown.

Fairyhouse Wed, 7th Feb, 2024  Mighty Jeremy He gave him a brilliant ride, he got an easy lead in front but he did everything perfect and I'm happy out with him. He was very consistent last year for us, we were a little bit disappointed the last couple of times but he's older and it's probably a little bit harder to get him fit. He was brilliant today and as long as the ground stays soft we'll keep running him. We might even give him a run over fences. He's a lovely horse to have and I'm delighted for the owner who is my landlord as well.

Punchestown Sun, 14th Jan, 2024  Kates Hill James Smyth had this mare and she is out of a half-sister to Tammys Hill. There is novice handicap at Naas at the end of the month and the Ulster National could be a plan, as going distances would be her thing. We'll see what the owners are thinking but they are great men to celebrate and they'll celebrate this for sure!. She backed up her Naas run (finishing second to subsequent winner Money Heist) and she's a great jumper. She's a lovely mare and she won well there. She's grand and is very quiet.

Punchestown Sun, 31st Dec, 2023  Sir Gerhard That was a nice performance and he’s got his confidence back over hurdles anyway. We’ll probably stick to hurdles now this season and he may go down the Stayers' Hurdle route. He jumped well at Naas until he fell and it took him a while to recover from that fall. I thought looking at him going down to the start that he looked big and I’d be hoping there is more improvement.
