Davids Charm Philip Enright gave him a great ride. He said it was like a bit of work for him,. They went hard up front and Philip was happy to sit off it and let him ease into the race. He had no hard race, and provided he has come out of it okay, he will go for the Cesarewitch next Sunday. He’s been some horse for us. Before today he had about €230,000 won between everything and another almost 40 grand today.

Dumhach Thra He stayed at it up the hill and is a tough horse. Michael and Pierce (Mee) love Galway and its great to have a winner for them at Galway. He is improving the whole time and Milan is a good solid sire. I think he can go up in trip and a little better ground might suit him better also.

Davids Charm Two years ago he was beaten a short-head in this race and was unlucky in the Galway Hurdle where he was caught at the start and got squeezed up passing the stands, . He was only beaten four lengths and he lost more than that in the race so I thought he would have won. Philip knew the horse from Galway and I told him to keep him out of trouble today and he gave him a brilliant ride; Philip is as cute as a fox!. He's not unlucky any more and won handy enough. The Cesarewitch is next and we'll see after the Cesarewitch what to do. He has never jumped a fence and Tom O'Brien (owner) says to keep him away from the fences but I think he would jump a fence.

Happy Jacky He toughed it out well and it was his last chance to race in that 80-95 grade today so we said we'd take our chance. It was a bit quick but he is tough out. Today's trip was as short as he'd want and not knocking the rest of the horses, but it looked a middling race the last day. We might give him a pop over a fence before the ground goes heavy - he's not one for winter ground. He has great scope and he wants safe, yielding ground.

Macgiloney He's a grand old horse,. He jumped for fun and didn't stop, he's all heart. He's improving the whole time and he gives you his all. Yeah brilliant (to get the ride). Denis is suspended - unfortunate for him but fortunate for me. He's been super to me since I turned (conditional) and even for the two boys to let me ride him, I'm just grateful. Hopefully we can stay going. I'd be in Denis' a few days a week and after that I go wherever I have to go. The two men that own him are absolute gents, I'm delighted for them. You couldn't meet nicer than them.

Happy Jacky We were a bit worried about the ground to be honest,. I thought it might be gone for him but he's a hardy little lad. He got through it alright - he wouldn't be in love with it but he's just tough. He got boxed in on Friday evening and just got no run. He finished out his race real well. After seeing that we said we'd go again as he bounced out of it so well. I'm delighted for the lads (the owners) - they'll enjoy it!. We might look at Listowel but it's just grand to get him over the line.

Jaime Sommers It was a bit of a surprise. She had been disappointing so far this season but she takes a good few runs to get fit. Ruth rode the race to perfection. She kept out of the chopped-up ground as the other two took on each other. Fair play to Ruth, she rode a fantastic race. We tried the cheekpieces on her the last time and they seemed to have improved her and this was her second time to wear them. It's great to win with her on the Flat as she ran out of options over hurdles and fences. She was badly handicapped, she was just caught. She had her first run on the Flat at the Curragh but she didn't like the stalls, so the flag start here was ideal for her, this race was really ideal for her. She loves Tramore and was placed the other two times she ran here. It wasn't a total surprise as the track suited and the ground dried up a bit. We definitely won't go over fences with her again. I wouldn't risk her as she is the only filly I have out of Solerina. She is entered on Saturday in a maiden but is not eligible now. I'd like to see what the handicapper gives her and maybe go for something at the end of the season on the Flat. Her mother won three Flat races so it's great that she has now as well. She has now won over fences, hurdles and on the level. Solerina is twenty-two now and is in-foal to Walk In The Park. I think she has nine foals so far and she is great form.

Somethinboutangela She was in front a bit early but she travels so well and the last day things didn't go right. She had a good run previously at Tramore when she jumped a bit high but is starting to jump fluently now. She can drop down in trip and will be a grand mare to go chasing. The owners are from Galway and she might go there as she is a fun mare and we'll make the most of it. The owners were in hard luck last year with Hurricane Ben being killed. I only have two horses in for the summer and there is a 5,000 euro bonus today, so that is the icing on the cake.

Lakemilan She ran at Bellewstown in a race which was a qualifier for the Galway Hurdle but that didn't work out and we were well beaten on the day. I don't know for what reason but she didn't travel and never got into it. She runs well around here and she seemed fresh enough so we left her take her chance here. Kevin said he felt he was going to win the whole way. We messed it up a few times with her by getting caught in behind and then going out in front but this time it was a peach of a ride. We'll come back here again in August.

Mac N Cheese That's brilliant and I'm delighted for Brien as it's his birthday as well. What can I say they are just running well. It's worked out great with this horse as he was cheap buy. He has won over fences and is after winning there now. He will probably go for the Galway Blazers now.

Macgiloney That was brilliant. He was gutsy and loved the battle,. When I entered him I wasn't sure was I going to be able to run with the ratings but if you don't run them you don't win anything. I don't think the handicapper can react too much because I went through the form of the others and their ratings had maybe been got through good placing by Gordon. I didn't think in a handicap that they would have run to marks in the 130s. I'm thrilled with this lad. He's always had a big future and he's still improving all the time. Chasing will be the job long term. He's owned by some good guys, Michael Moloney, Pat Gilmartin and John Gilmartin. They've been with me a long time. He won a bumper here last year and he's been placed a lot of times. They've got some great days out of him. He'll go to Galway now, whether he runs in the three-mile handicap or the two-and-a-half novice. Killarney might come a bit soon. He's a nice horse to have going forward. He wants all of that three miles. We didn't go mad there so I had to get involved a bit sooner than ideal but it worked out well.

Savina She raced fairly green. There was a real good pace and that played to her advantage as she is from a lovely staying pedigree. Her pedigree and her stamina came to the fore and she galloped on to the end. I'd be looking forward to going over hurdles with her over a trip I think and she'll stay going now for the summer.
