Full Cry It was a super ride from Hugh and he rode him exactly to instructions. He needs a good strong ride and you have to keep at him the whole time. I’m delighted for the lads (Garristown Aintree Syndicate). He was third in the Midlands National but a bit disappointing that he’s not won this year up until now. They are nearly all Dubs so they have done a lot of celebrating over the last few days. We’ll enjoy today and look for a similar type contest in the near future.

Lakemilan I'm delighted with that and a little bit of improvement from Galway was going to put her right there. This was the target for a long time to get black-type with her and to win was fantastic. It was a smashing pot and in fairness she has been very consistent but not the easiest to train. She tries her best and any time you have a horse who tries, you have a chance. She is progressing and if she gets into the weights for the E100,00 two miles handicap hurdle she could run there next. It might come a little soon but if she comes out of it ok, that's where she'll go.

Mill Quest She keeps winning. On her run in Galway she was entitled to win this. I'd say we'll probably be going jumping fences sooner rather than later off her mark - she is only 105 over fences. I'd say we will have to go jumping fences, she has the size for it. She is probably going to get another 7lb there so we will have to go jumping fences.

Lady Of The Sea Sure she was lucky. She had hit the crossbar a bit, and sure we'll take the lucky ones,. Bryan (Cooper) rode her to be placed and I think that's the way it suits her to be ridden. She doesn't really travel, she was on it and off it, and that's her. She got her day and she'll probably go for something similar now in a few weeks time. representing

Jaime Sommers she jumped really well out in front and gave an exhibition of jumping and the experience really stood to her. She was given 14lbs for winning at Kilbeggan last year and it put her out of hurdles; I had never any intention of going chasing with her but from the first day she schooled well over fences and I'm just relieved now that she had that as an option as she is so badly handicapped over hurdles. We'll see what the handicapper does with her now and it's great to win here; her mother won a Grade 1 here and is back in foal at 21 years of age to Vandegarde. She has two Yeats foal, a four year old with Enda Bolger and a three year old with Mags Mullins and has a Getaway colt foal this year. She (Jaime Sommers) is the only filly I have out of Solerina so is very important and is also only six and today was her 38th run today. She is consistent, minds herself and is fierce sound. I'd love to get black-type with her eventually.

Mill Quest she jumped and travelled away and stayed galloping and did it well. We haven't had her long and hopefully she can progress and can keep going through the summer.

Decision Time . She was brilliant around the track and she took the paint off the rails. She gave me a great spin and was a push-button job today. She could be tailor-made for Galway and she stays well too.

Boot Camp The horse came home but he was behind the bridle the whole way and we had a hood on him and Davy (Russell) said maybe we should leave it off the next day. He said the ground was maybe as tight as he would have wanted it, he wasn't really letting himself down on it. He was there at the right end of it, thank God. We'll keep him going over the summer. He'll jump a fence at some stage.

Decision Time It's nice to come up here and have an animal that justifies it. She's consistent and wanted good ground, I won't say this ground, but she seemed to handle it and hopefully she's okay after it.

Blondes No More It was a weak race but I'm delighted to get it. I had planned about going the handicapping road with her but her owner Mark McDonagh, who is at a Rolling Stones concert today, spotted this race a few weeks ago and it has worked out great,. She'll tip away for the summer on the handicap route now. I had her mother (Sallyanka) and she won two bumpers and while this one isn't as speedy, she is tough and genuine and will come on a lot from that.

Citizen Al we're not shocked but are surprised as the ground dried up so much. She ran very well when staying on at Limerick the last day but today we thought she'd be caught for toe because of the ground. That's the last horse my late father E.J. bred, it's the first horse owned by my brother William and his son Alan, who the horse is named after, led her up, so it's a pure family story. We didn't plan further than today but we'll probably race her away and keep her for breeding.

Moonshine Bay He made hard work of that but he got the job done. He'll probably head to the field now and go chasing next autumn. He's a massive chasing type and he's only going to improve over the winter with a summer grass under his belt. He's a proper stayer and hopefully he might turn into one of those kind of National-type horses in a couple of years time.
