Savina She raced fairly green. There was a real good pace and that played to her advantage as she is from a lovely staying pedigree. Her pedigree and her stamina came to the fore and she galloped on to the end. I'd be looking forward to going over hurdles with her over a trip I think and she'll stay going now for the summer.

Brogine She was game and we knew from her work at home she was going to give us a good run, even though she hadn't run in 12 months,. This is a lucky track for her. She won her bumper here and was second on her first run over hurdles here so we were very hopeful coming today. She's in at Limerick on Thursday and she'll run if she's okay because there isn't a race for her for maybe six weeks after that. We'll wait and see. She's a summer mare and she'd like the ground even a little bit better than it was today. It was good ground and she's even be better on top of the ground.

Mac N Cheese I bought him for just 4,000 pounds (in January) on the advice of Tom Malone. He actually ran a grand race in Fairyhouse. He plunged on the way to the start with David Mullins and his reins got caught up in the breast girth. It looked like he was jumping left all the time but he just couldn't steer him. He also ran a nice race here at the Festival.

Macgiloney He could have jumped a bit better, and I really had to ask him at a lot of the hurdles. Coming out of the back I always thought that I’d get there but then Jack (Kennedy, on Foxy Jacks) slipped a few lengths on me and Bryan (Cooper)’s horse (Asbury Boss) broke down and I was lucky to get by him. This is a nice horse and he won two bumpers last year. He’s always been threatening to do that but he needs a trip. Even over two and a half miles you are always on your head, and three miles around here was ideal. The beauty of now is that he’s a novice for all of this season and those rated novice races will suit him. We’ve had five winners in the last ten days and it’s great when they are running well. There is a good buzz about the yard.

The Brass Man He was idling a bit in front and I think he is very good. He is a little bit of a baby still and he is homebred by myself and Peter Magnier and Tom Furlong has a third-share. It would have been nice to have had Peter here today (passed away in January). He was a great contact for the yard, was a big owner and a great friend. He is a big loss. This horse is for the sales at Doncaster - I'd love to be able to afford to keep him as I rate him very highly but probably won't be able to.

Blue Templar We had a great start and we're after having a great finish, in between just wasn't great,. It's great for Ray Barron, who is with us and he's a very hard worker. He rides a lot of the young horses and gets them going so that is his reward. Having a winner at the festival in these races is great and we saw Peter Maher getting his name on the La Touche the other day. We're all kind of smallish trainers and I'm grateful to Mr McManus to let me do this with these horses. That's what I love and the riders love riding around there. Blue Templar could be a nice horse for the La Touche next year. He loves the ground and Ray said out in front he was pricking his ears. All he can do is win. The owner has been patient as he was an eight-year-old maiden coming here on Tuesday. It's paid off now with two wins here this week. He's only rated 89 or 90 over fences but once he sees a bank he excels at it. Unfortunately Josie Orders is paying for his success, with 12-7 and that's telling on him a good bit. He'll have a lesser penalty next year and he's also a soft ground horse. We're happy, we've had a good week with two winners.

Blue Templar I just said to the owner he’s a patient man as he's an eight year-old maiden! The other horse (Youcannotbeserious) is classier but the experience around here told. We’ll see how he is but he may come here for the La Touche on Thursday. He seems to be fine and fresh, and he ran twice last year as well. The ground is not too taxing either. It gets the week off to a good start.

Sizing Rome He would need another mile,. He ran well at Cork for a novice and he didn't as such make mistakes there but horses fell in front of him over the final three fences, otherwise he'd have been close. Of course we were very clever by leaving him off after the first week in November because it was going to be soft from then on, which didn't happen, but maybe it's all for luck!. There is hardly a low enough class race at Fairyhouse or Punchestown for him but where ever we think he has a chance of winning that's where we'll go.

Coromandel Lady She was bound to come on a lot from her first run,. I lease her to the syndicate and (my late husband) Johnny bred her and she is the last one out of Katie's Cracker. I am breeding from another sister of her's, Espresso Lady, and so have the family still and I'll keep her. We'll look for black-type now but whether we wait fro Punchestown or Aintree I don't know but I'm happy with her and am delighted to get that.

Josies Orders You probably know where we are heading! He stays well and sees it out, and we’ll try and keep him in one piece now for March. They weren’t bad horses in it this year, it was a good test and the timing is just right. His ears were pricked and that’s why those things (blinkers) are on him. I’m chuffed with that, and it’s poignant that it was in the race for my old boss (P P Hogan). Hopefully Auvergnat will go to Cheltenham as well. We were just dodging the ground with him, and he might have a prep run somewhere over hurdles.

Roaring Bull I thought it was going to be a tough day and I thought we might struggle for a winner,. Jack gave him a great ride, he's a bit of a monkey of a horse. The day he won his beginners he nearly didn't want to win but he has ability when things go right for him.
