Luckyinmilan I’m a bit surprised as he’s not a two-mile horse but the ground suited him. He’s just a staying horse and we said we’d let him bowl along. I thought they had gone too quick in front but he kept at it well. It’s great for James as that’s his first winner and he works for us. He gave him a grand ride. He’s a lazy horse at home and he wouldn’t light any fires under you with his work. He’ll probably go for another hurdle and he has the option to go back over fences.

Monbeg Notorious He's a big long distance chaser,. I doubt if he'll run in graded company and we'll look at some of the long distance handicap chases on soft ground with him and give him a rattle at one of those. Hopefully he'll make into a nice handicapper.

Terrible Beauty She won her point-to-point and got very tired after making the running in a bumper at Naas. Paul said the ground was very testing and that he'd take his time on her. He gave her a lovely ride as she settled well and jumped great. She's 17 hands and is a chasing mare. She obviously goes on that ground, and I'm delighted with that.

Davids Charm The first race that he won (at Listowel) he nearly turned back, and the next day he won at Galway he nearly forgot to take the bend into the straight. At Listowel the last day he didn’t get the clearest of runs and he should have won there as well. We were worried about the ground and Rachael said the same thing. Hopefully he’ll progress away. The handicapper may not be too nice to him and he may have to go novice hurdling now. We may not do much with him until the ground gets a bit better again.

Motown Girl I think she's a lovely mare, a smasher and is a lovely size. Myself and Peter (Magnier) own her and the GS Syndicate, from Dublin, lease her from us. She runs in the Dublin colours and I'm delighted for them. We'll see how she is but she could go for a winners' bumper next. I think she's a nice mare and has a lovely page and is from the Chomba Womba family. That's Katie's first winner for me - she was second once in the past, and gave her a lovely ride and I was delighted with her.

Roaring Bull He was a big baby last year and hadn't been showing us much at home and that's the reason he was a big price on debut. He is still a big baby and will be a nice horse for next year.

Jezki That was fantastic and great to come here early in the year and see how he was. He just seems to have got back his old spark. He never really got it back last year, I don't know why, but he has had a good summer and seems well in himself. He did it hands and heels there and he surprised me as I thought he'd blow up. He has class and class won it for him at the end of the day. I have absolutely no plan - I have no idea and I'll enjoy today. He's a great horse and to get him back like that is amazing. . Things never went right last year and in a way I was under pressure too and he was under pressure to get back, having missed a whole year. People probably thought 'that's it, retire him' after his last run last year but we didn't and he's a smashing horse and a pleasure to have around the place.

Jaime Sommers We've been trying different tactics with her recently, covering her up, and it's definitely helped her a lot,. Cathal rode a great race. He was last most of the way and she loves passing horses. She's very different to her mother in that respect. It's a great thing when young mares start improving, she's only five, and she's run 24 times. She jumps superbly and I'm delighted with that. It's great for Cathal and great for the pedigree as well. We'll see what the handicapper does now. There is a race in Navan, that used to be called the Albany Hurdle, at the end of the month over 2m6f and she stays well. That's an option for her and there is also a Listed race in Gowran at the end of September. It would be great to get a bit of black-type for her. She handled the ground and handles it better than she did last year. As she's getting older she's handling the ground better. He kept her out wide, which is something he wanted to do, and he got the best of the ground. So long as she settles in races, I think that's a big thing for her. She's the first winner out of Solerina and she's the last filly out of her so she's very important.

Youghal By The Sea I'm about 10 years asking him to give me a horse to train and I was only third in line to get this horse! . We are friends for a long time. He told me he would give me a winner some day and he did. I'm delighted to train a winner for him on his 78th birthday. He'll go over hurdles now, he's more of a hurdle horse and wants a trip.
