Gowran Park Tue, 23rd Apr, 2024  Norwalk Havoc He said he hated the tacky ground. He doesn't do a stroke, he was looking at everything but he'll get there. That was only his third run and I'm delighted with him,. Shane said he'll be better on a bit better ground, he said that's really tacky. We'll take little baby steps with him. He said he thinks he'll be better in a better race when he gets taken along, because when he got to the front there he looked at everything — he did the same in Leopardstown.

Leopardstown Wed, 10th Apr, 2024  Norwalk Havoc he didn't behave very well at the Curragh last year and when he came back, got castrated which seems to have done the job. We always thought he had ability but he wasn't giving it to us and it was great to get his head in front. I just thought for a moment at the furlong pole, when he got upsides Ryan's horse, that he was going to think about it, but he actually ran out a ready winner in the end and stayed on great. Shane said he actually couldn't go any quicker than he was going and he then quickened up well in the straight and went through the ground very easily. We'll try and find a winners of one for him now and take it from there.

Curragh Mon, 18th Mar, 2024  Global Energy We knew he was fit as he had a good run in the Up The Yard challenge race at Punchestown and I think he’s got a bit faster. He’s won over a mile and a quarter and a bit further, but he’s improved with age. I think he can run over anything from a mile up to a mile and three. I don’t think he’s ground dependent, and I can play with the trip. He’s a real nice horse to look forward to. I’m sorry for Robbie (Colgan), but I wanted to take weight off him.

Dundalk Fri, 12th Jan, 2024  Free Solo Resolute in the finish. We were just waiting for him to land one. He's a very good horse, a very genuine horse. He was going to win one eventually, he always runs his race. He might be a little bit better on the turf with a tiny bit of a dig in the ground, but we're very happy to be able to pick up one with him. They are great owners and are delighted. We had a nice bit of fun with them throughout the year - he was second in Galway and ran a few nice races. A nice, consistent horse and a great, fun horse to have. We'll see whether we give him a break or whether we will run him once more up here, but we'll aim for the turf again with him.
