Chevillon she had been very disappointing. She was slowly away a number of times and half did it again today. We always thought she had some ability and didn’t think she was as bad as she was running. Thankfully she has gone and won today so she’s a two-year-old winner. She’s out of a good mare (New Magic) that was Stakes placed here for Dermot McLoughlin.

Dragon's Pass That was a little bit unexpected. This is the first time she's gone that distance and it looks like she's crying out for it. She really tried out there, she likes that ground and now I know what trip to run her over. We'll keep her going over the winter now that we know she likes heavy ground. I'm delighted for the owners as they've been very good supporters of mine for many a year. Sean gave her a great and said she actually took him into the race which is great. She had a good few runs on the Flat to sharpen her up. She's a beautiful-looking mare and I'm delighted to get that for the Newells.

Pulse Of Shanghai He seems to love the surface up here,. We'll put our hands up as we've maybe been getting it wrong during the year, running him on soft ground and trying to ride races on him. He's happiest up there rolling along, he's travelling his own pace and he seems to love it. He's improving. I didn't think he'd win as easy, I thought it would be a dog fight and we'd be lucky if we won it. He won well. He beat a horse of ours, Strong Johnson, last year when Jim (Ryan) trained him and he went up to 91 so maybe we are underestimating this fella. He was quick out of the gates there and Declan was fantastic on him. He gets a good tune out of him.

Pulse Of Shanghai His last few runs were a bit disappointing for the work he can do at home. He won his maiden in Down Royal last year when Jim Ryan trained him and he beat a good horse of ours Strong Johnson over five (furlongs). We were trying to ride a race on him up to this and today we said we’d just send him forward as he always seemed to be finishing well. He probably should have won here a few weeks ago when he got into trouble in behind. There was no excuses today, a good man on board and out in front and go. Jim Ryan and Dr Chah are good supporters of ours. They sent us a handful of horses so it’s great they are winning for them now. He’ll ply his trade up here for the winter.

Tullypole Annie She ran well the last day in Down Royal and Wayne (Lordan) said to drop her back to six. The handicapper gave her a chance after the last day and Gavin (Ryan)’s claim helped as well.
