Cyrus Dallin he’s done it really nicely, and has been in great form his last couple of runs. He loves that ground. We thought the draw would be a big problem but he has plenty of early speed and we got a good position. He put the race to bed really nicely. I’m very fortunate to be with Denis; he gave me my first winner seven years ago, and to come back and ride a winner for him at Galway, at the Curragh and at Listowel is brilliant. We work so hard in that yard and it’s nice to get the winners on these days. The horses are in flying form and that’s due to the hard work of all the lads at home. I’m lucky I get to ride them in races.

Never Rains she was probably the classiest filly in that race for a claimer. I just rode her straight-forward. Denis and the lads said to drop her in fourth or fifth and try and see if I could get her to come home and that's what happened thank-God. She ran a good race last time but was a bit unlucky coming out of the stalls as she got a bit squeezed. She came home late and fast but thank-God we did the business there.

Macgiloney He's a grand old horse,. He jumped for fun and didn't stop, he's all heart. He's improving the whole time and he gives you his all. Yeah brilliant (to get the ride). Denis is suspended - unfortunate for him but fortunate for me. He's been super to me since I turned (conditional) and even for the two boys to let me ride him, I'm just grateful. Hopefully we can stay going. I'd be in Denis' a few days a week and after that I go wherever I have to go. The two men that own him are absolute gents, I'm delighted for them. You couldn't meet nicer than them.

Ozzie's Way That was mighty on his first start over fences,. All the family are chasers so hopefully he'll improve a bit for fences. Them races are great (for horses rated 116 or less over hurdles). He's a 112 hurdler I think. I was going to pull him out this morning because of the ground, to go to Bellewstown for a handicap hurdle on good ground. Having thought about it though if he were to win another hurdle he couldn't run in today's race. I just said now was the time to go for a chase when he was down there at 112, and we'll see what the handicapper does now. He could go for one of those rated novices. Andrew gave him a good education - he'll learn a lot from today. It's great for Tim (Conroy, owner/breeder). He hasn't been racing all summer - his wife hasn't been well. He's at home doing all the jobs on his own. Tim has been a loyal patron since I started training. This fella's dam (Stashdeaway) was very good for Michael O'Brien. She was a black-type mare from the family of Glebe Lad who won a National.
