Gougane Barra Paul is amazingly patient — it's a pity we can't bottle it!. He's a lovely big horse and we've just had to be very patient with him. Shane said he's still like a big baby. He loves the surface and was in a bracket that we'd thought he'd win. The last day he ran a bit fresh over seven furlongs but has come on nicely at home since. We'll tip away with him here, it seems to be what he likes, and a mile is a good trip for him. Thankfully Paul owned him as not too many would have had that patience with him. He's just a big raw horse. We'll have a bit of fun with him.

Ahlan Bil Zain He has (done that very nicely). The blinkers have obviously done plenty for him and the last night did his confidence good. He looked in great form since at home even though we weren't doing much with him - he had a bit of a swagger about him. It was a good performance so he obviously is thriving. We'll have a think about it but it is always an option to go back on grass, I'll see what there is for him. I'm delighted for the lads (the owners), they have had to be patient with him. They are from Naas and Dublin.
