Got Trumped He’s improved a lot from his first run over fences last year,. I was probably in front a bit too soon but the race fell apart and I kind of had to go on. He was gutsy from the last home.

Shona Mea You would have to be delighted with her. She was just collared close home at Limerick the last day but has won two now. She's owned by Pat and Bridie Harty, and that will be a nice tonic for Bridie who is not too well at the moment.

Millisle She's back on track. She was very good there and Shane said she's only really learning to sprint now,. She got rolling, enjoyed it and quickened up well. She had to carry a penalty against them there too. We'll probably go to the Curragh now for the Phoenix Sprint, another Group 3. It's just hard enough to find races for her. There are very few fillies races, that's the trouble, and she's probably not hardened enough to take on the elder sprinters yet. I think she will be in time as I think she's a proper sprinter. I'd love to look at a Group 1 towards the end of the season. She seems to go on any ground, it doesn't seem to worry her at all. She's won a Group 1, a Listed race and now a Group 3 so it's brilliant. She's a very valuable filly as she has a good pedigree too. Her dam went back in foal this year to Starspangledbanner aged 23. She had been retired but they brought her back in out of the field.

Lynwood Gold He’s a good stayer, and he likes that bit of ease in the ground. He might run over hurdles in Galway. The Cesarewitch at the end of the year is probably his aim. How we get to there I’m not sure. I’m delighted with that as he’d been threatening to do it. I thought the second horse was going to go past him but he put his head down and came back at him.

Papa Bear He finally got his head in front. He's a horse that always promised a lot and had a few very good runs last year. He just got sick on us last year and took ages to come back. His run in Fairyhouse, the first day, was too bad to be true. He had a good run the last day and got his head in front there today. He's in the sales next month but we'll have a chat with Patrick Cooper and see what he wants to do. Shane seems to think the blinkers helped him there.

Los Andes You'd have to be very happy with him. He did all his work very nicely at home but was a little bit disappointing the first day. He leaned a bit with Shane that day out of greenness. It was maybe partly my fault as well as all our horses run with Australian nosebands on them and he had some grass warts. They pushed on the noseband and he was running away from that. We took it off today and it worked the trick. He's a nice horse and has a few nice entries. He's growing a bit at the moment and you can see when the saddle is off him that he's a bit up behind. We'll give him a bit of time now and maybe mid-August we'll look for another race for him. A mile suits him well and it's nice to get a winner for (Breeders’ Cup Mile winner) Karakontie.

Yulong Pearlisland Shane came in and said Jessie was right, I was wrong. Mum has always liked this horse and the penny is only dropping with him. He could turn into a nice stayer. He’s a big baby and is only starting to grow into his frame. Hopefully there might be a few more races to be won with him.
