The BA Morley Memorial Handicap Chase won by the Carl Dore trained Alfa Beat with Shay Barry doing the steering for Mrs A McCarthy.

Winning trainer Dore said afterwards, "He's a nice horse we've always thought he wanted better ground. He wasn't a 100% the last day he ran, a lot of my horses were sick at the time. This lad won his point to point first time out and chasing is really his game."
