Eight ultra-competitive affairs await punters at Limerick and plenty will be attracted to the chances of Clondaw Warrior in the opening race, the www.limerickraces.ie Maiden Hurdle at 1.45.

Shark Hanlon's five-year-old developed into a smart performer in bumpers and was last seen making a successful raid on Cheltenham in October.

Moby Dick almost sprung a big shock on his jumping debut at this venue early last month and could be the one to capitalise should Clondaw Warrior be found wanting for fitness, although there was a good word for Jimjim Mac Cool prior to his disappointing introduction at Gowran Park.

Big Eared Fran didn't show much on his first start for Edward O'Grady on his return from a lengthy absence, but that will have blown away the cobwebs ahead of the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase, in which he and stable companion Clicksnmortar must take on useful fencing recruits Gimli's Rock and Rourke's Cross.

Drive On Regardles has also spent time on the sidelines and Willie Mullins has opted to start him back in the June 16th & 22nd Twilight Racing Maiden Hurdle.

The champion trainer is predictably represented in the Riverfest INH Flat Race, although Raise Hell has looked anything but a stable star so far and recent Cork placegetters More Madness and By Design set a better standard for well-related newcomers Dunmoe and Gale Force Lucey to aspire to.

See Double You was an easy winner on his return from a successful stint between the flags at Tramore and attempts to defy a 19lb rise in the second division of the Kelloggs Cul Camps Handicap Hurdle.

Last-start course runner-up Swift Lady should be on the shortlist for the first instalment, while Muzak, who was third at Ballinrobe on Tuesday, makes a swift return to action in the Provimi Handicap Chase.
